This is a direct message from Founding Attorney Gary Smotherman, II:
Good Morning and thank you for taking the time to read this communication from my office.
It has come to my attention that there is another law firm with a very similar name to the name of my firm. To be clear, my office is "The Smotherman Law Firm, PLLC" and we are located in Houston, Texas, with one satellite office in League City, Texas. 95% of my firm's cases are in the Houston area (Harris County and the surrounding counties). We have not— and do not— routinely take Dallas County cases (as a consequence of focusing our marketing efforts to our local Houstonians). Our Dallas County representation has been limited to individuals with a pre-existing connection to myself or my employees. Otherwise, we do not handle cases outside of Texas.
If you are looking for "Smotherman Law" or "Smotherman Law Firm" or "The Smotherman Law Group" you are in the wrong place and contacting my office will waste both of our time.
If you have a personal injury case or a car accident claim— or if you are working on a file as an insurance adjuster or medical treatment provider— in Arkansas, Tennessee, New Mexico, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina OR ANYWHERE OUTSIDE OF TEXAS I can assure you that my office does not represent you nor are we handling a file in any of those jurisdictions.
If you fall into any of the above categories, please reference your documentation (letters of protection, letters of representation, or engagement agreements) for the correct contact information.
Good luck with locating the appropriate personnel to process your matter. But as always, should you have a case in Texas and ultimately be unsuccessful in contacting the right firm, my office will be available to step in to work on your matter after the execution of the appropriate onboarding documentation.
If you believe this office represents you and you do not reach us after one phone call it is likely because my team and I are in court or in a meeting. Please consider leaving a voicemail or sending a text message instead of making multiple calls in a row.
Best,
Gary Smotherman, II, Esq.
